What to build

A filmmaker can fix parsing mistakes cheaply by merging near-duplicate Characters or Locations. See User Story 38.

Acceptance criteria

  • Merging moves Lines, mentions and scene cast entries to the survivor in one transaction
  • The merged Entity becomes a tombstone with merged_into, and its name is kept as an alias on the survivor
  • The merge is undoable
  • Any feature that stores mentions later (Shot action text) must be rewritten by the merge; leave a clear hook for it
  • Tests cover Character and Location merges, aliases and undo
