What to build

Imported dialogue creates the speaking cast and keeps the cue details the prompt composer will need later. See User Stories 21–24.

Acceptance criteria

  • Characters are created from dialogue cues, normalized, with extensions removed
  • Cue extensions (V.O., O.S./O.C., SUBTITLE, other) are stored on the Line, and CONT'D is dropped
  • SUBTITLE Lines have hand-editable spoken language and spoken text, and are flagged while either is empty
  • Dual dialogue imports as two Lines that share a simultaneous marker
  • The script view shows Characters per dialogue Line and the flags; the import summary counts Characters and flagged Lines
  • Tests cover normalization, every extension, SUBTITLE flags and dual dialogue
